Welcome to HollyGroveSports.com!
The theme for the Athletic department is: What are you training for? The scripture reference relating to the theme is from 1Timothy 4:8 NLT.
“Physical training is good, but training for Godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”
Our Vision Statement at Holly Grove states:
Under God’s direction, Holly Grove Christian School will focus on the student’s spiritual, academic, social, and physical development. Our goal is for students to enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ and become mature disciples of His word. Since our main objective is to glorify God, we commit ourselves to lead by example in scholarship, vocation, and lifestyle.
My hope is that through the Athletic Department here at Holly Grove we can partner with families to help fulfill the Vision statement. It is important that our students are physically training for our Athletic events, ask any Coach, but it is more important that they are training to learn how to have a relationship with Christ!
I think you will find the information on this site helpful as a player, parent, student and especially as a member of our community. Each sport gives you information that should be helpful to you - check throughout the season for rosters, scores, stats, and other info. Be part of Holly Grove Athletics!!!

Fall Sports Play Day
Varsity Field Hockey had a great showing at Crown’s play day today! With a win against Bennett, a win against Queen Anne’s, a win against Washington and a tie against Easton. It’s going to be an exciting season for these girls!! Congratulations.
Congratulations to our boys soccer team! They played Mardela and Snow Hill yesterday at their Play Day scrimmages and came away with 1 W (1-0) and 1 L (0-2). Congrats to Zackery Chaffins with the goal. Great job boys!
 
Congratulations to the Varsity and JV Volleyball teams on a great Play Day. Varsity won three matches and lost one. JV won all three of their matches.

Archery Teams
Congratulations to the HGCS Archery teams. Check out the following results from the 2018 Nasp /IBO World Outdoor 3D Challenge Tournament held in Snowshoe, WV.
Elementary team placed 1st. World Champs 2 years in a row!
High School placed 4th only 11 points behind 3rd place.
They give individual trophies for the top 5 male and female for elementary, middle, and high. These are the individuals that placed in the top 5.
Elementary Female

Middle School Fall Sports
Reminder!!!
Middle School Field Hockey, Soccer, and Volleyball tryouts are the first day of school, Monday August 27th, right after school. Also remember to get the Athletic forms filled out and ready to turn in before you tryout.

Welcome back to the Fall Sports Season. I hope that you are as excited as I am about the upcoming seasons here at Holly Grove Christian School. Tryouts/ Preseason start Monday, August 13th. Soccer is from 5:30-7:30pm, Field Hockey is from 6-8pm and Volleyball is from 6-8pm. Please make sure you have your Physical Form and Emergency Forms completed by Monday.
